Remember when I got engaged a few weeks back? Well, my future groom was super creative and incorporated bagpipes into his unforgettable proposal. He clearly knows me too well and knows my love for all things Irish, including him of course.
It only seemed fitting to follow Matt’s creative lead & keep the Irish engagement train rolling by incorporating this “lucky” theme into my bridesmaid proposals. I’m sure you’ve heard it before… but seriously, my team of ladies aren’t just any old bridesmaids; these amazing women make me one lucky lady. I feel so honored to have each of them in my life, and I could NOT wait for my chance to make their St. Patrick’s Day a little luckier with a green surprise filled with lots of love!
Each St. Patrick’s Day surprise came in the form of a March 17th survival kit that included a little note to show them how truly lucky I feel to have them all in my life.
I gathered as much green, gold, sparkly, st. Patrick’s day gear that I could find. I mean, you can never have enough Irish gear… right ladies?
I created these tags to top off each box o’ bridesmaid.
The tags read… “I am lucky to have you…”
“Will you make me even luckier & be my Bridesmaid [Maid of Honor]?”. I know I’m a little late… BUT you can get your very own printable version of these tags here!
After stuffing as much green goodness into each box as I could…
…these treasures were all set to go! Unfortunately, 2/5 of my team lives out of town.
I sent those two in the mail and the remaining three?
Well, my favorite leprechaun and I got up really early on St. Patrick’s Day, picked up breakfast to add to the packages and did some good ol’ fashion ding-dong ditching. #leprechaunsleftasurprise
Thankfully, each Irish lass said yes to the soon-to-be Mrs. O’Matk, and once again, made me one lucky lady!! I mean seriously, how lucky am I to have this gorgeous Irish princess next to me on my big day?
Asking your bridesmaids in a creative way definitely kicks off the wedding DIY projects in a fun way. What creative bridesmaids proposals have you heard of?
