Style Me Pretty Living Feature

We’ve got some BIG news for you guys…Bridget’s home is currently being featured on Style Me Pretty Living. Say what?!

[insert double take here]. Yeah, we can’t believe it either. We’ve been pinching ourselves ever since we found out the news.  The thing is we’ve both been in love with Style Me Pretty long before we were ever engaged. They feature breathtaking, swoon-worthy weddings every single day and now have their own Living site devoted to all things home. Everything on SMP Living is drop dead gorgeous.

We found out Bridget’s home was going to be featured awhile back, and have been trying our best to stay tight lipped ever since. But now that it is official…we are shouting it from the rooftops!
We were lucky enough to work with the talented Gina Cristine Photography. Not only is Gina adorable, but she is the best photographer in the Chicagoland area. If you need someone for photos..this is your girl (She is even shooting Casey’s upcoming engagement photos & wedding…woo hoo!)

So to prepare for the big shoot with Gina, us DIY Rookies got up reaaaallll early to get glammed up, stage lots of fresh flowers and drink far too much coffee. Here’s the not-so-glamorous behind the scenes scoop from our big photo shoot…

For the sake of keeping it real here on the ol’ blog… let’s just say, Bridget’s house does not always look this perfect. When Style Me Pretty isn’t sending a fabulous photographer to her neck of the woods, Bridget’s pillows are limp,  fresh flowers are no where to be seen, there are dishes in the sink, crumbs on the counter, and laundry piled up on the floor. The pictures are perfect, Bridget’s house is not… and THAT’S OKAY!
So as you go ooo and ahh over the amazingly glamorous home tour, remember the buckets of flowers, the not-so homemade muffins, and the outdated magazines on the coffee table. It’s the part of these amazing home tours that you don’t see and sometimes should!
Keepin’ it real.
