Double Date Night

We’re popping in with a quick Wednesday post to show you what we were all up to last Saturday night.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. We are both so lucky to have husbands who put up with us and all of our blogging. Seriously, those guys barely complain when we spend hours on our computers because of The DIY Playbook. They take dozens of photos of us for Instagram, until we deem that we have the perfect shot. They don’t get angry when we spend our down time thumbing through our social media feeds, and they allow us to chat on the phone every single day as we scheme up new content for the blog. Let’s just say we’re 2 very lucky ladies and it was finally time we treated our guys to a fun night out to thank them for putting up with us and our crazy blogging ways. Bulls-Ornament

Our guys are huge basketball fans and even bigger Chicago fans. So we decided to take them to last week’s Bulls vs. Celtics game at the United Center. We gave them each a Bulls ornament on Christmas to let them in on our date night plan. Double-Date-NightWe started with some drinks and apps and then headed on over for our night out on the town.

So cheers to our handsome +1’s for their endless support of the DIY Playbook. They’re our #1 fans and we’re so happy to have them on our team.

  • I just found your blog and am loving it! I too have a blog and a amazing husband who is a great support, and DIY assistant. It is nice to have the support, and this is such a cute idea for a date night! I cannot wait to read more from you guys!

    • Emily, we are so happy you found us! So nice to have you tuning in. We’ll have to go check out (aka stalk) your blog right now!

Most of our date nights now are at home, cooking and watching a movie together. Cheers to saving money and paying off debt!!

    • We feel ya girl! That is our typical night out too. This was an extra special “treat” for the 4 of us.
