Ryan’s Entryway Makeover

It’s been a loooong time since we last chatted about Ryan’s entryway. In fact, when I looked up our last post about his space my jaw dropped when I saw that we wrote about it way back in February! February?! Whoa. It’s safe to say you probably don’t remember this space, so here’s a little refresher…
Ryan-Entry-Before

No offense Ry guy, but this area was in need of some major TLC.

Here was our initial gameplan back from February…Modern-Music-Mood-Board

Right after we came up with this plan, Ryan got the space painted, ordered the large console from CB2, and Bridget & I got to work shopping for accessories for his space. We thought we would be able to wrap this sucker up by summertime. Boy were we wrong. Instead, the large console from CB2 was backordered until August. So we waited and waited.

But let’s just say it was well worth the wait…Ryans-Entryway-Wide-Shot

Much better…right?ย CB2-Console-Marble-Wood-Ryan-EntryThe CB2 console was well worth the wait. It’s absolutely stunning in person, with the details in the wood and the marble top. Plus, it has loads of secret storage so Ryan can keep some of his shoes, hats, and other items out of sight.

When it came to accessories, we had a lot of fun incorporating metallics and masculine pieces. After just transforming Maggie’s uber-feminine condo, it was kinda nice to take on a different challenge.ย Entry-Console-Accessories-Ryan

My favorite part is the gallery on the wall. The mirror is simple & functional, but we had some fun with the other pieces and tried to show off Ryan’s love for music in this prominent place.ย Z Gallerie-Art-Pug-Headphones-Ryan-Entry

This dog art keeps the look light, plus our other brother has a pug named Belvi…so it’s a nice nod to our “nephew.”ย Entryway-Console-Ryan-CB2Eat-sleep-rave-repeat-ryan-entry

Then I found this fun EDM printable online and simply printed it on card stock to include on the wall. Easy way to add free art to any space.Gold-Frames-Entry-Ryan

How cool are those gold frames on the knobs?! I can’t claim this piece as my own. Ryan’s girlfriend found the frames and suggested I use them in the makeover. They’re awesome and worked out perfectly. I like how it changed things up from making it a typical gallery wall.

Books, greenery, & wood accents helped finish the look. And the best part? None of these accessories broke the bank!Entryway-Styled-Console-Ryan-Makeover

Even though it was 7 months in the making, we are thrilled with the way this space turned out. Just goes to show that sometimes it takes awhile to really complete areas of your home, and that’s a-okay. Take your time, wait for the right pieces, and it will all be worth it in the end.casey_sig
