Holiday Card Sneak Peek + GIVEAWAY

Bridget & CaseyNovember 12, 2015 Comments

As we explained in this post, it’s never too early to start prepping for the holidays. We know Turkey Day hasn’t even arrived, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t start checking items off that loooong holiday to-do list.

If you’re like us & love snail mail…then we’re guessing you’ll be sending out holiday cards this year. And you’re in luck, because we found some fabulous on-trend options that you may want to use this year!

Gorgeous, right?! Well it’s no wonder these cards are so darn trendy and adorable, HGTV star Genevieve Gorder designed them. You know…that long haired, big eyed beauty who is in every good show on HGTV? Yep, that’s the one.

Genevieve partnered with Pear Tree Greetings to create a collection of holiday cards. We love the prints, textures, and unexpected color palettes she includes. Definitely no run of the mill holiday cards here!

I mean can you even believe that gold foil??

And like any good Christmas card, we love that you can completely customize these. Add your own message & even a family photo directly into these designs.

We liked these cards so much that we’re using one of them for our own Christmas card this year! We recently took the pictures & they’re hilarious. Even better than our mini photo shoot last year. Don’t worry…more pictures & our holiday card reveal coming to the blog real soon. Can you guess which gorgeous card we choose from this collection? Do any of these scream DIY Playbook to you?! Here’s a little hint…. or teaser… from the day we took our Christmas Card photos:Paint Christmas Lights

Until we reveal which card we chose, we want to help you get a start on your own gorgeous holiday cards! That’s why we’re giving away a $100 credit to 1 lucky reader to order cards from Genevieve’s collection on Pear Tree Greetings. Enter using the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!!

  • These are wonderful! I already ordered my cards from Minted, but opted to stop at 35 cards in order to save on some money. I’d love to be able to buy nice cards for everyone on my list tho! These are beautiful and regardless, I will keep them in mind for next year.

    • We hear ya… holiday cards can definitely be an expense! I love the idea of printing at least some yet staying within your means. Good luck!

  • Andrea Pepe

You had me at gold foil.

  • Us too!! #morehearteyes

  • Thanks Kylee!

  • Can’t wait to see what you girls picked!

    • Thanks Ann! Once we send them out, we’ll be posting all about them.

I’ve been so bad through the years as my kids grew older about sending cards; I’ve just simply neglected to send anymore. Social media gives everyone the opportunity to keep us all updated on our friends’ family so I think I’ve naturally gotten away from the old school mailings. However, when I receive cards from friends who do still send them, I’m always so grateful and joyous to have them.

    • Yes… social media is a game changer, but like you, we always appreciate receiving the “snail mail” around the holidays. It makes coming home and checking the mail SO much more fun! =)

  • Ashley

I love Genevieve! I scheduled a last minute photo session to hopefully get a cute picture of my daughter and my dog lol! Fingers crossed! My holiday bucket list includes cutting down a Christmas tree at the farm with my family!

    • It doesn’t get any more Christmas than cutting down a fresh tree with the fam!! Have fun… and good luck with the photos!

  • Lindsey

Holiday bucket list: holiday cards complete with a wedding photo since we were married this year, cookie exchange with girl friends, and mastering a seasonal cocktail perfect for holiday parties!

    • Congrats to you Lindsey! And that cocktail sounds delish…CHEERS!

  • Cindy

I’ve always wanted to send Christmas cards but I feel compelled to have a child before I can really send out “our family” cards.

    • OMG Cindy… we feel the same exact way! Last year Casey + Finn sent one with a pic from their wedding and Matt and I did one without a picture (like a vintage postcard). But Casey and I talk about that all the time… we want to send cards to our family & friends but feel weird since we don’t have children!

  • Jordan Troublefield
