The DIY Playbook Style Series – Cozy Sweaters

Bridget's new cream, cable knit cozy sweater. Like many of you, we both strive to buy clothing that not only reflects our style, but is also comfortable, affordable, and can be worn at work AND on the weekends (did we mention we donโ€™t want to spend a ton of money either).

We know that a lot of the DIY Playbookโ€™s readers are currently in this same exact situation, so hopefully, together we can start this new journey of connecting one another with clothes (and sales!!) that make us all feel confident and comfortable. Donโ€™t get us wrong, we are NOT fashion experts and we are not even fashion-forward, just regular girls trying to have a little fun with our styles all without breaking the bank.

Casey in a comfy, cozy fall pullover with a plaid scarf. Perfect for a fall walk around town. Today’s Wardrobe Staple: Cozy Sweaters

Besides the falling leaves, crisp air, and excuse to consume everything and anything pumpkin flavored…our favorite thing about fall is the new wardrobe that comes along with it. Jeans, boots, scarves, and chunky sweaters are some of our favorites!
Bridget in long cream colored sweater with a plaid blue and white scarf. Just one of many great fall looks!ย Let’s chat about the last item on that fall wardrobe list. Sweaters. They’re the best aren’t they? Screw bikini body season, we’re all about sweater body season. Give us a chunky knit sweater, a slimming turtleneck, or a soft cardigan and we are in heaven. Pair these comfy sweaters with tight leggings or skinny jeans, and you’ve got yourself an adorable fall outfit.Casey is wearing a pair of skinny jeans with her cozy pullover sweater. Don't you love her leather bag and those leather booties?

Bridget and the Bean and her cozy sweater cardigan. It looks great with distressed black jeans! We love light sweaters to pair with our favorite scarves or vests. We love turtleneck sweaters to stay warm and cozy in. We love long cardigan sweaters to dress up for work wear or weekend wear. Simply stated — you name the sweater style and we probably love it!

Bridget already bought this cream cableknit cozy sweater. Which is a good thing, considering how awesome it looks with her black skinny jeans.

Today we rounded up some sweaters we’re currently eyeing or recently bought (like B’s $19 cable knit turtleneck!!) .ย We especially love these sweaters because we can wear them to work or on the weekends throughout fall, winter, and even into the spring! We figured if we invested in a few neutral sweaters that we LOVE this season, we will be set for the next few months asย we can mix & match them with different looks all season long.ย Nine cozy sweaters we love this season!! Which one of these neutral sweater options do you have your eye on?

1.ย Button Up Grey Cardigan // 2. Cream Turtleneck // 3. Grey Light Sweater
4. Beige Sweater // 5. Grey X-Long Cardiganย // 6. Cable knit Sweater (less than $20!)
7.ย Pleated Hem Sweaterย // 8.ย Shoulder Button Sweaterย // 9.ย Turtleneck

Forget bikini season, can it be sweater weatherย forever?!
