Our Favorite Room Reveals of All Time

Over the course of the past 4 years, we’ve tackled a lot of spaces. We’ve worked on every single room in both of our homes, and have even gone outside our own houses to help friends and family with some of their spaces.

Top 9 Must-See Room Reveals

Everyone loves a good before and after, so we figured it would be fun to compile some of our favorite room reveals into one convenient post! A few of these are from a couple of years back, and therefore they’re new to some readers.

Our Favorite Room Reveals

So drumroll please…let’s check out our favorite makeovers!

Casey’s Master Bedroom – BEFORE

master-bedroom-green-augusta-before

When we first moved into our condo, the master bedroom was a bright green! A very bright green. It took quite a bit of time and lots of intentional decorating, but today it looks like this…

Casey’s Master Bedroom – AFTER

master-bedroom-bedding

Our master bedroom is my favorite room in our Chicago condo because it’s such a relaxing spot to kick back and wind down after a long day. And even though the space came together slowly, I can say that I love every piece in this space. Just goes to show that when you decorate with intention you are much more likely to create a room that reflects your style.

Lowe’s Bedroom Makeover – BEFORE

bedroom-before-lowes-makeoverAdmittedly this before picture is pretty dark, but believe us when we say that this master bedroom was in dire need of some TLC. And ironically it’s another green master bedroom that needed a bit of a neutral edge. In just 24 hours we were able to give this room the facelift it so desperately needed.

Gray paint, white trim, and some classic furniture transformed this room. And lucky for us, the deserving couple absolutely loved their new bedroom

Maggie’s Living Room – BEFOREMaggie

maggie-built-in-before

This is an oldie…but a goodie! A couple of years ago, we helped Bridget’s younger sister Maggie re-do her entire Chicago condo. Our favorite room turned out to be her living room (although her bedroom makeover is a close runner-up!)

To maximize storage in her city condo, Maggie had built-ins installed on one of the walls in the large space. This provided lots of secret storage below, and plenty of styling room above. Add in some modern furniture and gold accessories, and this feminine spot was ready for guests!

Bridget’s Dining Room – BEFORE

dining_room_before

When Bridget moved into her home almost 5 years ago, she had a very basic space for her dining room setup. Add-on the fact that she bought a brown table, with brown chairs, and a brown bench..and this space was feeling a little too dark and traditional for her taste.

DIY Board & Batten // New Chairs // New Rug

After a DIY board & batten treatment, a new rug, and new chairs…and this hardworking space is now one of her favorites! Plus, it’s the room guests see right when they walk into her home, so it now makes a great impression!

Casey’s Patio – BEFOREaugusta-balcony-deck-before-patio

Outdoor space comes at a premium here in Chicago, so when we bought our condo we were thrilled that it came with a small balcony. Sure, it was an awkwardly shaped triangle space…but it was outside!

Patio Furniture // Summer Update

Flowers, string lights, and petite patio furniture worked to take this space to the next level. We now enjoy summer nights out here on the patio with friends and couldn’t be more proud to enjoy our very own slice of the outdoors.

Bridget’s Bathroom – BEFOREbathroom cabinet

Bridget’s builder-grade home came complete with a builder-grade bathroom. The space wasn’t necessarily “bad”, but it was a bit dark and devoid of personality.

New lighting, DIY shiplap, a round mirror, and plenty of accessories added personality and style to this small space. And the best part? It was all done on a budget!

Casey’s Guest Room – BEFOREAugusta-Guest-Bedroom-Before.27 PM

When we moved into our condo, we inherited a spare bedroom that used to house the old owner’s bicycles. The room itself isn’t large, but it had major potential for a nice guest bedroom.

Bridget & I gave ourselves about 6 weeks to tackle this room and I still love the space! It stays pretty pristine and it is no longer a catch-all for random items we don’t know what to do with. The navy color is so comforting, and our guests say they always wake up well rested!

Bridget’s Office – BEFORE

bridget-guest-room-beforeOur most recent makeover was turning Bridget’s guest room into an office space. It went from a very colorful & nautical bedroom to a neutral office.

A lot of hard work and DIY projects went into this space, and it’s now B’s favorite room in her house! Plus, it’s used much more often now that it’s no longer a guest room with a twin bed.

So now we want to hear from you! Which room reveal is your absolute favorite? They all are pretty special to us!
