Finally Mr. & Mrs.

We’re always chatting here on the blog about how it’s the small changes and tweaks that really personalize your space and take it to the next level. Why buy cookie cutter home decor, when you’re not a cookie cutter person? Everything in your home should reflect YOU and your story.

For example, these black Pier 1 frames were originally intended for photographs. Or so I think. But when I bought them a few years ago, I decided to put “HIS” & “HERS” signs behind the glass. They were then a staple in our master bedroom decor.
This his and hers wall art is elegant and chic.

So cute, right?

Well, I was staring at these bad boys the other day and realized that I should upgrade these to reflect our new life together. We’re no longer just “HIS” & “HERS”, instead we’re now “MR.” & “MRS.” Yay! So it was time to upgrade our frames to show off our newlywed status.

Outline the printed text on canvas with a marker.

It doesn’t get any easier than this folks. I just went to Microsoft Word, found some fonts I liked, and printed on card stock. Then I traced them out and popped them into the frames. Boom. DIY done in about 5 minutes flat.

This corner nook is adorable with a textured stool and fresh flowers in a vase.

The font in this Mrs. wall art is feminine and classic.

I went with a feminine font for the “MRS.” It’s called “Scriptiva” and I simply downloaded it from DaFont.com.

These Mr. and Mrs. wall signs add a personalized decor element to the room. This Mr. Sign adds a masculine element to the room's design.

I went with a bolder, more manly font for the “MR.” This one is called “Elephant.”
These books and leopard shoes on the faux fur rug add to the room's ambiance. The bench in this master bedroom's nook adds a whimsical decor element. This little nook in our master bedroom got a teeny-tiny upgrade. But I’m definitely loving it. I mean 1 sheet of paper, and 5 minutes of my timeโ€ฆum yeah, I’ll take it!

The black wall art pairs well with the lighter stained wood floors. Now this little area is all about “The Finns” and I couldn’t be happier.
