Something about the Euro Shams has totally helped bring our master bedroom “up a notch”. I feel like our master bedroom is slowly “coming into its own”, if you will, as we try to incorporate more & more hints of grown-up sophistication. I have Casey to thank for that, because honestly… I had no clue what Euro Shams were before inspecting her bedroom photos & trying to figure out why her bed looked so much more grown up than mine.
I think I’m speaking on behalf of both myself and my master bedroom when I say, “Casey, thank you for your inspiration, we DEFINITELY couldn’t have done it without your expertise”. Of course, we still have progress to make, but for now, I’m happy with the first upgrade!
And the great news is that we didn’t stop the upgrades there. Can you tell what else is new?
Yup, if you put two and two together by reading the title of this post or if you actually spotted the new bench — you’re right, the bench at the foot of our bed is the newest addition to our bedroom. In the words of the wise Megan Trainer, “I’m all about that
bass bench, ’bout that bass bench”. I scored this baby from HomeGoods recently and I LOVE it!
To be honest, this bench was a tad of a splurge coming in at $119. (EEK!) Usually I wouldn’t spend that much on a small piece of furniture but I decided to treat myself! I loved it so much and feel like because it’s neutral, it’s so versatile and worth the few extra bucks. Now it’s in the bedroom, but who knows what the future holds for this tufted bench.
The fabric is amazing and seems like really great quality. I’ve always loved the look of a bench at the foot of the bed and hope to use ours for some storage soon, I just haven’t found the perfect piece to slide in there. Baskets? bins? A pretty tray? Any ideas or suggestions?! I need some advice!
Until then, I like the subtle grey sophistication that this bench brings to the space..one more step toward a “grown-up” master bedroom, I think? Little by little… we’ll get there!
For now, I’m enjoying the adventure of scheming, planning and running new DIY ideas past the boss. No luck yet. But I know we’ll get there eventually (I haven’t failed at convincing him yet… and I sure don’t plan on stopping now). Haha, happy weekend friends!
