Home Swap: Tour Sarah’s Home from Room for Tuesday

You know when you’re scrolling on Instagram and there’s a photo that literally makes you stop in your tracks and scroll back up to see? Yeah, that happens to us every.single.time we see a photo posted by Sarah from the blog, Room for Tuesday.Green dresser in the guest room from the blog Room for Tuesday.

Sarah’s style is spot on…the perfect blend of neutrals (with pops of moody colors), sentimental objects throughout her home, and DIY projects galore. Her home looks high-end and well-designed, while still feeling comfortable and cozy. How does she do it?!The blogger Sarah from the site, Room for Tuesday.

Not only are we obsessed with her home (and every project she reveals!), but we also love her personality! Bridget actually had the pleasure of meeting Sarah last fall at an event for Delta, and she was so happy to report back that she was just as wonderful in person as she appears online (love when that happens!). Because Sarah is a designer by trade (#girlboss), she confidently dishes out tricks of the trade to her readers (like in her Room 101 series!).

Okay, enough gushing…let’s get to the goods. We’re so excited to give you a glimpse into Sarah’s Utah Home Tour. She and her husband have slowly been working to fix up every square inch of this home, and even though it isn’t quite finished (they’re undergoing a huuuuge kitchen reno right now)….every room they have revealed is positively swoon-worthy. So let’s start at the beginning…

The Front Porch

A black front door with red brick.

A black door, crisp white trim, and greenery…does it get any better than that?! This adorable front porch is some major inspiration as B plans out the front of her new home.

The Living Room

Paint the inside of your door black for a moody look!Large art over a console in a front entryway.

One of our favorite things about Sarah is the way she effortlessly styles every surface in her home. That large wooden hand…holy smokes! The large-scale art above the console in this entry is the perfect statement piece, and we love the light fixture over it too. Bridget is planning something similar in her dining room (so she is definitely taking notes. Thanks for the inspo, Sarah!).ย DIY built-ins in a living room with a green fireplace surround.

The setup of Sarah’s living room is also very similar to B’s new house, with the built-ins flanking the fireplace. Absolutely adore the pop of green in the middle with that gorgeous slab of marble. You’ve gotta check out this post to see the before and after of this space. Sarah and her husband really worked hard to transform this space!

The Guest Bedroom

Guest room from the blog Room for Tuesday. White bedding in this guest room with palm print pillows. A white nightstand with gold and black sconces. White bedding and neutral bed frame from the blog Room for Tuesday.

If we are ever in Utah, you can bet your bottom dollar that the 2 of us will be staying right here in this cozy bed. Yes, we officially just invited ourselves over, Sarah! This small space is packed with style. Absolutely adore the pops of green in this room with the pillows and dresser. A gorgeous way to tie in the green from their living room. For more info on this space, check out the full before and after right here.

The Bathroom

Bathroom renovation and makeover from the blog, Room for Tuesday. Hanging art over the toilet in a bathroom. Marble tile with gold shower head and fixtures. Black, white, and marble bathroom space. Sarah participated in the popular One Room Challenge last fall, tackling her bathroom over the span of 6 weeks. Didn’t this space turn out stunning? How about the black and gold flooring? Dying over here. The overall color scheme of black, white, gold, and marble is classy and elegant. Casey is currently planning her bathroom reno (eek!) and is getting so many ideas from this glam space! To see more of this bathroom, check out this post.

The Master BedroomA master bedroom with a leather headboard. Symmetrical gallery wall hanging in a master bedroom.

DIY nightstand painted navy with a black sconce hanging over it. Sarah’s master bedroom makes us want to go out and find a leather bed frame…stat! The brown leather next to the navy and gold nightstands is absolute perfection. And that gallery wall makes our hearts sing. Love that the frames showcase snowy skiing scenes!

The Backyard

DIY pergola in the backyard. How to DIY a built-in couch for your backyard and patio. A DIY backyard space from the blog, Room for Tuesday.

The backyard may be our favorite space because it is chock full of DIY projects! Sarah and her husband built that custom outdoor couch (say, what?!), installed pavers, and even added an outdoor fan under the pergola!ย We have major patio envy after seeing this space. And to think that they did it all themselves! Incredible.

Home Swap!

Oh, and be sure to check out Room for Tuesday today. Sarah is chatting all about our homes on her blog and we hope you’ll hop over there to see.
