Video Tour – Phase One of Our Renovation

It feels like only yesterday I was sharing the first video tour of our new house. I remember walking through the entire thing with my camera thinking, “Wow, this place needs A LOT of work!” Ha! Little did I know what was in store for us over the next few months. Our post renovation video home tour

It’s funny because I watch this old video and I can hardly believe it’s the same house. It looks so incredibly different now and there’s still more work to be done. My plan is to do a video walk through once, or even twice, a year so we can continuously see the progress that we’re making in our home.

Before Video Tour

If you missed it, or just want to watch again, here’s the before video home tour. It gives you a great sense of how things started (how about that wall you run into when you walk into the house?!). And it’s cute to see our enthusiasm and excitement over our big purchase!

But now, let’s get to the real reason you’re here…our post renovation video home tour. I shot this video two weeks ago, so we are all moved into our place! However, you’ll notice that we have a lot of work ahead of us. The office is mostly empty, the bonus room is completely empty, and the master and guest rooms need some TLC. Oh, and of course the bathrooms and kitchen will all eventually get the love they so deserve with full gut rehabs. Slowly, we will work to make every nook and cranny our own.

My Favorite Parts

  • :15 Try to say “Toy Boat” 5x fast. It feels pretty much impossible…
  • :50 Thank goodness we called in the professionals.
  • 1:40 Bring on all the dance rooms.
  • 2:00 That would be the best update ever!
  • 4:02 I love seeing that antique hutch in here.
  • 6:10 The most beautiful sight.

Every single night, Finn and I remark that we can’t believe we actually get to live here. It still doesn’t feel real that this is our house! We’re just so grateful to finally be here and we’re happy to continue to work hard on this place for our family. Finally home sweet home!

I can’t thank you guys enough for your support, excitement, and enthusiasm over the past five months. We’ve loved taking you along for the ride and will continue to do just that as we work tirelessly on our Finn Fixer Upper.
