This weekend I’m planning to decorate for Christmas. I know, I know…it’s not even Thanksgiving! But with Thanksgiving later than usual this year, I want to make sure I have enough time to enjoy our beautiful holiday decor. Since we’re hosting Thanksgiving next week, I’m going to hold off on putting the tree up, but on Black Friday all of the halls will officially be decked around here.
Many of you know that earlier this year we lost all of our Christmas decor in a storage unit flood. It was sad to see all of the items that we’ve used for years gone in an instant, but I’m trying to see this as an opportunity to start fresh and choose holiday decor that fits our new home. We already have our new tree and ornaments all ready to go (more about it in this post), however, I still needed to buy more decor to really fill this place up! Not wanting to run around to multiple stores, I shopped at my favorite place…Amazon.
My Favorite Amazon Holiday Decor
I perused Amazon for hours trying to find the best stuff out there. Sometimes it can be difficult to find the goods, but guys, I found them. Here’s some of my favorite Amazon holiday decor, much of which I bought for our Christmas decorations!
Birch Logs // Knit Stockings // Boxwood Wreath // Porch Tree // Faux Berries // Berry Doormat // Plaid Doormat // Throw Blanket // Metal Holiday Bins // Plaid Wrapping Paper // Navy Satin Ribbon // Holiday Wreath // LED Candles
I ordered the tree for our front porch in early November and put it up last weekend. The quality is great and it makes our front porch so festive! I also ordered the wrapping paper and navy satin ribbon. I love having a color scheme for my gifts so they act as decor under our Christmas tree. For tips on how to wrap a gift like a pro, check out this blog post.
Stocking Holders // Pre-Lit Garland // Green Plaid Throw // Knit Stockings // Monogrammed Doormat // Small Decorative Tree // Champagne Wreath // Buffalo Check Ribbon // Red Ribbon // Green Plaid Ribbon // Kraft Wrapping Paper
How adorable are those little houses for stocking holders? So sweet. And I still have that monogrammed doormat on our front porch (it’s been up all fall) and it looks as good as new. I have a feeling it will be a year-round doormat for us. And the buffalo check ribbon reminds me of this gorgeous Christmas tree we decorated a couple of years ago.
Last year, I decorated our master bedroom for the holidays. We’ll see if I have enough holiday decor to spruce up our current bedroom too! For now, I’m planning to focus on the first floor and the outside. Finn is super excited to make the exterior of our house festive…we’ll see how that goes. We may look like the Griswalds by the time he is finished…
I’m planning to share my holiday home tour in early December (tour last year’s home here), so be on the lookout for that. In the meantime, it looks like I need to order a few more items from my Amazon holiday decor list! Oh, and if you want to stay up to date on all of my favorite Amazon finds, I’m constantly updating our Amazon storefront.
Now, do tell. When are you decorating for the holidays this year? I usually wait until Thanksgiving weekend, but this year’s calendar is making it more difficult!Casey
