Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Our guest room mirror. You first saw it here on the blog a few months ago. Can you guess how much this fabulous mirror cost? Or why in the world this mirror is leaning and not hanging?
This large and glamorous mirror only cost me $20! And the reason it is leaning and not hanging is this:
That large and not-so glamorous chunk missing from the bottom corner is the reason for the mirror, mirror NOT on the wall. The lean allowed me to hide that horrific corner detail while still giving our guests the opportunity to primp & prep in the privacy of their own space.
To me, this small detail was worth the +80% markdown and was definitely not a deal breaker in this piece’s future. Since I bought it, the leaning mirror did its job and looked deceivingly great. Twenty bucks well spent if you ask me.
But recently, I caught the itch to revamp this $20 mirror and give her back the glamorous life she once had.

THIS!
With the mirror makeover came some inspiration to revamp the entire space. I scored this white deer head at HomeGoods and I am ob-sessed.
The pop of color is thanks to some FREE paint chips I had leftover from a previous project. The look is probably not permanent, but I love the color it adds and really love its price tag. What is better than F.R.E.E?!
To think, just about a year ago…. this same space looked more like this:
Instead of this…
