A Neutral, Almost Pumpkin-less Fall Home Tour

It’s that time of year again… time for a line-up of inspirational home tours that are sure to inspire us to get our fall on! Thanks to the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tour series, hosted by Lindsay, we are honored and excited to be one of the homes in this year’s tour. If you’re coming over from Dwellings by DeVore, Welcome!! Unlike many of the other tours, our home tour is not oozing with gorgeous pumpkins, festive leaves + traditional plaid prints. We actually only have ONE pumpkin throughout the entire house! Whether you love our look or hate it, we hope we can prove that it IS possible to inject fall into your home without spending a ton of money or buying items that can only be utilized one time a year. <– because if we’re being completely transparent around here, we just don’t have the space to store lots of holiday decor in our small homes. casey and Bridget

So without further ado, welcome to our very neutral, almost pumpkin-less fall home tour! Today we’ll be taking you inside Bridget’s suburban ranch.
Fall Home Tour Family RoomLike I mentioned earlier in the week, I wanted my home to feel more “fall” but didn’t want to purchase a ton of items that can only be used one season of the year. Instead of buying the stereotypical fall items, I traded my typical color palette of blues and cool tones (& even ditched last year’s fall look) for a more neutral, more natural looking palette. Creams, grays, wood tones and even a few hints of GOLD helped me establish (what feels like to me) a whole new look… all without breaking the bank!

I did sneak one little white pumpkin into the mix because let’s be honest here, what’s fall without one? But other than that mini craft pumpkin, there’s not that many “obvious” fall items. No leaves, no plaid, not even a holiday wreath!! (GASP!). <– Busy Bad blogger

Fall Built In Shelf Decor

Quite possibly my favorite part (and the whole inspiration behind the more neutral fall look) is the framed pics above the couch. Long story short (full story here), Matt & I went to the grounds of our wedding venue and took a ton of pictures of this gorgeous property. We then used SnapBox to get these prints blown up and framed! I feel like these two simple prints changed the whole look of the room (for under $100 TOTAL!). Plus, the whole day was so much fun together, which makes us love the journey of these prints even more.

And last but very not least, a few tweaks in the entryway helped transition this tiny drop zone without having to buy a lot of new items. High-fives all around. <– see what I did there? #Icrackmyselfup

Now that the house is “fall-ified”, I’m officially ready for brisk temperatures, falling leaves, more coffee, & everything else that comes with my favorite season of the year. Anyone else ready to start wearing their cute boots & oversized wool sweaters?!

I love all the neutrals and wood – super cozy and very fall-ish to me! I would love to know where you got the dark taupe throw from, if you wouldn’t mind sharing that. Thanks!

    • Thank you so much! The throw is actually from Stein Mart… such a deal!

  • iheartorganizing

    Beautiful, warm & cozy! <3

  • Jennifer@TheChroniclesofHome

What a lovely fall tour! Love the neutrals. I actually shied away from pumpkins this year too, not even sure why, I just wasn’t feeling them yet. I’m sure I’ll have to bust out a few for my daughters as Halloween gets closer though 🙂 Love that last pic of your husband…so funny. Same deal around here – the staged fall photos would have our men in plaid shirts and wool button-neck sweaters while we laugh and drink coffee together on a Saturday afternoon but the reality is that you can find us more often in sweatpants with football on the TV and me on my laptop!

    • Jennifer, that’s hilarious! Happy to know we’re not alone! #bringonthesweatpants

  • I love your more neutral approach to decorating for fall. So pretty <3
