Come See the Before Photos of Bridget’s New House

Yesterday I shared the breaking news about our new house and today I’m back to give you a glimpse into what this house looked like when we toured it for the first time. These photos are all courtesy of the MLS listing and the photos were shot by Positive Image Photography.

Bridget's new houseI really grappled over whether I should share these photos on the blog or not, but quickly realized that I’m not sharing them to be negative (quite the opposite actually!). Although the previous homeowner’s style is not my personal style, they did a fabulous job making it feel cozy and warm.

And how are you going to get a sense of the house that captured our hearts immediately without seeing it first hand? I’m sharing these photos to show you exactly how it looked when Matt and I walked through it, looked at each other, and immediately said, “this is it”. So it’s only out of excitement and the sake of documenting our journey that I share the story of our new house… from day one.

So what do you think?! Any ideas for me? We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are so grateful that we found a house with great bones and one that was maintained meticulously by the previous owners. Once we get some of the demo done inside, we’re bringing in a few professionals to kick-off the first “wave” of projects. After that first set of projects are done, we’re going to move in our furniture and re-evaluate our to-do list.

I’ll fill you guys in on Monday about what’s on our initial to-do list… maybe you guys can weigh in with some advice!

Bridget

P.S. I’m sure you guys will be totally sick of me saying this (if you’re not already), but THANK YOU so much for all of your support and excitement about the new house. Our lives have been crazy lately with going back to work, juggling the blog, prepping for the house, and preparing for baby Mac. At times it feels completely overwhelming BUT these crazy times have really highlighted the fact that we are two extremely lucky people because we have the most amazing and supportive people in our lives. The amount of love we continue to feel through this whirlwind is hard to put into words. Matt & I ย are so humbled and could not be more grateful. Thank YOU.
