Casey’s Bedding in the Master Bedroom

Yesterday, Bridget shared all of the jaw-dropping details about the new bedding in her master bedroom. Pretty dreamy, right?

The subtle gray pattern of the carpet pairs well with the bedding.Even though it’s a mostly white look, I love that she went with the subtle gray pattern on the reverse side of the duvet. It adds the perfect amount of “preppy-ness” (that she pulls off so darn well, in her home decor & fashion!) Good work B…that’s definitely a bed I want to take a nap in.

Today, I’m up to the plate with a master bedroom refresh of my own.

This lime green accent pillow on the bed adds a pop of color.Last year, I blogged about our bedroom and some of the newly purchased items in there (headboard, mirror, lamps). The white and gray palette worked wonderfully for the space, and I definitely wanted to keep that as we refresh the room just a touch for 2015.

We have soft green accents throughout the room, and I was trending towards replacing them with light blues and navy. (In fact, looking at the above photo now…that green pillow color looks very strange in that light. I promise it’s not that neon in real life!)

So when Crane & Canopy approached us to try out their bedding, I knew I wanted to stick with white and gray in here….The unique white lamp on the nigh stand and fresh flowers bring this room to life.I went with the Hayes Nova Soft White duvet cover.

I love the gray trim on the edges of both the duvet and the shams. Adds a hint of color, and keeps things looking very crisp and tailored. The white classic dresser in the bedroom looks great with the cream carpet.

In a chic bedroom like this, relaxing with a cup of coffee is the way to go. The accent pillows with the gray duvet and headboard look adorable.

I kept my geometric gray pillows and swapped the green one out for a light blue (that I already had on hand from HomeGoods). I’m loving the new look. Mixing textured throw pillows adds an interesting design element to the space. The fresh flowers and white hardware create a calming feeling in this bedroom. If I had to sum up our master bedroom look, I’d say we strive for a comfortable, relaxing, and calming atmosphere. It’s a cozy look, but has a glamorous feel. This beautifully decorated bedroom is the perfect relaxing space to get work done. Not only is it a great space to sleep each and every night, but it’s my favorite place to blog. ( I’m typically not blogging with my hair curled and “real clothes” on, but let’s be real… no one needs to see me in my PJs on the internet).

My favorite days involve drinking my coffee, reading magazines, and blogging right from this comfy spot.
