Out of Office on Maternity Leave

Good morning, friends! I’m popping on here quickly to let you know that my maternity leave officially starts today! I want to leave you with one final blog post to let you know the “gameplan” for the next few weeks.

When Will You Be Back from Maternity Leave?

I’m officially taking off the next five weeks to snuggle our new baby girl as much as possible. I may pop in on Instagram stories, so make sure you’re following me over there for a behind-the-scenes look at our new life as a family of three.Aurora's newborn photos

I have some content that I already prepped ahead of time for June, so I’m planning to come back with new content on June 1st. I probably won’t be working full-time until July, but I do have regular content scheduled (four days a week) for all of June. My mom is writing a few posts, I have a Reader SOS, a Reader OMG!, and other fun projects I saved up for that month. It will be a nice way to ease back into a routine around here.

Our guest bathroomOur first DIY project as parents will be our guest bathroom. We’re not gutting it, but we’re doing a nice budget-friendly refresh of the space. It should be a lot of fun!

And if you need a little playbook “fix” in the next five weeks, definitely check out the archives of the blog. I have over 2,000 blog posts for you to check out. You can read some of my favorites here.

What About Baby Content? Sage green built-is in a baby girl's nursery

As I’ve mentioned in the past, this is, first and foremost, a home and DIY blog and that won’t be changing. I will share the scoop about our life just as I always have here on the blog. Rory's newborn photosThis summer, after my maternity leave, you can expect my birth story, a post about what I packed in our hospital bag, a reveal of the nursery window treatments (since that was on hold this past month!), how we’re really using the nursery, our newborn essentials, and more. But don’t worry, home and DIY will still dominate the content around here.

Thank You, FriendsFamily photo with our newborn baby, Rory

I am so grateful for this amazing community of readers who uplift me (and one another) constantly. So many of you have checked in with me over the past few weeks to make sure I’m feeling good and a few of you even sent baby gifts our way. What did we do to deserve you? I am so blessed to have support from readers all over the world. Thank you for always sending your good vibes and prayers to the Finn family (of three!).Spending time with baby Rory

Now, time to go snuggle Rory and enjoy every moment of life as a new mom.

Casey

P.S. If you missed it on social, Finn and I created a very special video to document my pregnancy. Each week, we did a little dance in the nursery. Watch as my bump grows, the room changes, and we finally welcome our baby girl (she really steals the show there at the end!). If you can’t view below, you can watch over on Youtube right here.
