How to Decorate a Fireplace Mantel for the Holidays
For anyone looking for easy tips to decorate a fireplace mantel, this is for you. Here are the 5 inexpensive things I added to create a festive holiday mantel.
Garland
The first thing I added was the fake garland on the top of the mantel. Someday I’ll experiment with a real garland but… baby steps!
After I laid the garland, I added the EASIEST layer of lights! I didn’t “wrap” it but instead just spread it out and tucked it into the garland every so often.
I then picked up three plain stocking holders at Target. I personally like that these are simple and “hide” under the garland.
Stockings
In true Target fashion, I picked up three of these plaid stockings while I was there. Someday I’ll get the stockings embroidered. I think it would be a fun touch down the road.
