Remember last week when both Casey and I shared what we bought at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

Like we said then, neither of us have a ton of room in our small closets so we weren’t about to buy all the things, but we were excited to bring home a few intentional pieces. We went into the sale trying to choose items that we can get a lot of use out of in when the temperatures eventually drop and that’s exactly what we ended up doing!

But along with sharing the links and dressing room details of what we bought at the sale, we also wanted to share photos of how we plan on wearing these pieces. Our hope is that you can find some inspiration here before you buy OR work with what you already have in your closet to get the look.

Ivory Lace Blouse

I hate to play favorites but this blouse is my not-so-secret favorite purchase from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I feel like a broken record, but I just can’t stress enough how much I LOVE the fit.
This blouse feels more like a t-shirt on because it’s slightly loose and flowy in both the midsection and the arms. On this day I paired it with ripped jeans and dressier wedges (this super similar pair is on sale) but I think this blouse would work well with a skirt, black jeans, paired with a blazer, or even a leather jacket throughout the fall.  The color is versatile so the possibilities are really endless! And the best part about this new blouse is that it’s light weight, so I don’t even have to wait until fall to enjoy it! I’ve already worn it out and have gotten so many compliments/questions about it!

Cardigan

This cardigan is comfy, it kinda feels like you’re wrapped in a cozy blanket. I already have a long gray sweater, which I get so much use out of, so I’m excited for this patchwork option too.

I wear my other long cardigan casually like this look, but also wear it to work and even with dresses in the fall. I’m assuming I’ll wear this one the exact same way. Plus when I wear this style to work I love having the XL pockets, always convenient as a teacher!

Ring

I’ve been on the hunt for an everyday ring and am happy to finally add this one to my collection. I love that it it’s gold (although it came in silver and rose gold too) and can be worn casually or with something more dressy. I’ve worn it just about everyday since I bought it at the sale. Plus it was only $35, regularly $55+.

Dress

I’m excited to wear this dress to work in the fall. The color, high neck, longer sleeves and super comfy material make this a good fit for my fall work wardrobe. I’ll probably pair it with tights and flats when the weather gets cooler.
Hands down the BEST part of this dress is the fact that it has POCKETS. Plus it feels like you’re wearing a cozy sweatshirt!

Chambray Classic with a Twist

Last, but certainly not least, is this chambray classic with a peplum twist. I always have a hard time finding a chambray shirt that isn’t too boxy or masculine, so when I saw this feminine inspired one I was instantly a fan.

The chambray material is super soft but I love that the material is not too light and airy. I think this blouse will be perfect for layering in the fall with vests or scarves, and will also work with pants for work.

I never want to wish the summer away, but these new fall pieces do have me extra excited for fall!!
