National Women’s Friendship Day

To us, good girlfriends are such an important part of life. Sure, it’s nice to have your husband by your side, and to chat with your mom or sisters on a regular basis…but there’s just something about having a girlfriend who “gets it” that makes life so much better. Every girl needs someone with whom she can laugh and share a bottle of wine, call at 6:00am because you’re up and want to chat over coffee, or rush over to her home to vent about your eyebrow wax that went terribly wrong (that last one is definitely true….sad, but true).

We feel so blessed that we found one another way back in high school…but we feel even luckier that our friendship has grown up along with us. We’ve been there for new jobs, breakups, engagements, weddings, and new homes…and to have a best friend through it all is truly priceless.

Celebrating National Women’s Friendship Day

Celebrating national women's friendship dayWe recently found out that this Sunday is National Women’s Friendship Day. Honestly, we didn’t even know such a day existed, but like National Margarita Day or National Ice Cream Day…we immediately jumped on board and decided to celebrate! Fall boots and bootiesSo there’s our friendship…all neatly laid out in nice little charts. It makes us laugh to think about all of the crazy things we’ve been through together. We hope that you’ll take advantage of the “holiday” on Sunday, and tell the special women in your life how much they mean to you. Whether it’s just an email, phone call, or perhaps a nice brunch…we hope you take the time to tell your best friend how much she means to you!Bridget and Casey celebrating

A special thanks to our female readers (heck 99.9% of you are probably ladies…), we consider you all to be our friends. So thank you for being a part of our journey. We wish we could spend time with each and every one of you and catch up over a glass of wine. Since we can’t do that (that’s a lot of wine…) we’ll simply just say THANK YOU!
