Today marks our 4th anniversary as husband and wife. Finn and I have actually been together since high school (over 14 years!), and I feel like I’ve fallen more in love with him this past year than any year before. He’s been by my side on my darkest days, and I don’t know where I’d be without that man of mine. I’m so lucky to have him as a life partner. Enough with the mushy-gushy stuff, let’s dive into today’s post topic….4th wedding anniversary gifts! Finn and I have always followed the “traditional” gift for our wedding anniversary. We like it because it forces us to think outside the box and get creative with the theme of the year. Instead of purchasing the same gifts year after year, we have some fun with the theme and challenge each other to always stick to it!

Linen & Silk or Fruit & Flowers?!

I started researching this topic a couple months ago and found some conflicting reports on 4th wedding anniversary gifts. In the U.S. it’s “silk & linen” and in the U.K. it’s “fruit & flowers.” That’s a heck of a lot of categories compared to the past 3 years of anniversary gifts. This gift doesn’t fit with the 4th year theme, but I think it’s a good gift for ANY anniversary. My dad gifted this to us and I love filling it out. It’s a beautiful way to document each passing year and there’s even a spot to store anniversary cards and a photo from every year!
