Swimming Suits We Want to Wear for Summer
Shopping for swimming suits. Not exactly our favorite item to shop for…am I right? But, finding the perfect suit that’s cute, fits your body, and makes you feel confident is a must for the summertime! Especially if you have any plans for going to the beach, pool, or lake.
We both recently went through all of our swimming suits and did a big purge, getting rid of ones that aren’t our style or no longer fit (looking at you teeny tiny bikini!). We then each made a list of ones that we wanted to add to our swimsuit rotation.
Swimming Suits for Sweet Summertime
Here are swimming suits we each bought, along with others we have our eyes on…
Anyone else pumped that one-pieces are trendy now?! Holy smokes, yes, please! I’ve always been a two-piece girl, but I’d have a one-piece ready to go for more active days when you don’t want things falling out. Now that one-pieces are in…I’m all about rocking them all the time!
I purchased a striped one-piece from J.Crew last year (they don’t sell the same one anymore, but this one is super similar), and I still love it. Even though J.Crew is a bit pricier, their quality can’t be beat and I always know that any swimsuit I buy from them will last for multiple seasons. I’ve been eyeing this strapless one-piece because…no tan lines! I wonder if it would stay up well enough though…
I used to buy a new swimming suit every year from Victoria’s Secret (so sad they no longer sell them!), so now I’m looking for a new spot to get good swimsuits. I recently bought 2 suits from the online retailer Cupshe and was super nervous since they’re so inexpensive and you can’t try them on before buying. I figured they’d be really cheap and might fall apart right away. I’m happy to report that the 2 suits I bought (this one and this one) are actually sooooo cute! Will they last forever? Probably not. But fun prints for about $20…I’ll take it!
Criss Cross Bathing Suit
I just got this suit and it really is as good as the reviews say. It’s a little tricky to put on, but once you do…so flattering! Plus, for $24 you can’t beat the price!Shop This
Floral Cut Out Suit
This is another new purchase (at under $30!) that I’m so happy I got for the summer. Love the stripes and floral pattern.Shop This
Striped Strapless Suit
A strapless suit is always a must, especially when you want to avoid those dreaded tan lines. I always love swimming suits from J.Crew because they last forever!Shop This
White Bikini Set
Love the simplicity of this bikini set and white is always the best when you get a bit of a tan!Shop This
Palm Print Bikini Set
I couldn’t resist the palm print pattern on this two-piece. I just got this one and I’m in l-o-v-e. Bring on the summertime fun!Shop This
Summer Fridays Swimsuit
It doesn’t get any better than Summer Fridays! I adore the cute text on this fun swimming suit.Shop This
Like Casey, I am SUPER pumped that one-piece swimsuits are trendy right now. I definitely don’t have any immediate plans to get back in a bikini anytime soon. And let’s be honest, I don’t know if that will ever happen and I’m totally okay with that because one-pieces are so comfy and offer a lot more coverage for a fair skin girl like me.
But having so many adorable one-piece options available right now just seems too good to be true. I feel like I have to stock up on all the one-pieces before they go back out of style. Haha! So far I bought this one and later found it it’s the same one Casey bought. Here are the other ones I’m currently loving (especially for their affordable prices!)…
Green Lace One-Piece
I recently bought this lace suit from Amazon and LOVE it. The quality is very good, especially for the $25 price tag!Shop This
White, Striped One-Piece
I’m a sucker for stripes, as evidenced by my next three picks. But how cute is this white striped suit for under $30?!Shop This
Tie Front Striped Suit
Here’s another tie-front, striped suit that I’m currently crushing on. This $23 steal is also a great option if you’re trying to ditch those tan lines!Shop This
Striped Rash Guard
I had to add this one for my fellow fair-skin ladies tuning in! Sometimes it’s hard to find a rash-guard that’s not super sporty so when I saw this one, I was immediately sold! This paired with colored bottoms (or even printed bottoms) would be adorable.Shop This
And last but not least, I adore this feminine seersucker print with the dainty bow. It screams “Hamptons” and would look adorable with a straw hat and jean shorts.Shop This
Have you guys picked up any new swimming suits for the summertime? Are you a one-piece or two-piece fan?
