Bridget’s Final Home Tour
In honor of my last week here, I thought it would be beneficial to put all of the resources for my house in one spot. Hopefully, this final home tour will provide easy access to any links, questions, or sources that you are ever looking for.
You can always check out my full home tour here to see lots of before and after progress! But this post will be a second resource just in case I missed something over there. Plus, it’s always fun to look back at how far we’ve come in 1.5 short years of working to make this house our home sweet home.

Our Home Stats
- Built in 1952
- Located in a southwest suburb of Chicago, in our dream neighborhood
- Here’s a tour of the house when we moved in and a look at the photos from the original MLS listing (how far we’ve come!)
- Ranch style home (with a basement that still needs lots of love!)
- 3 beds, 2.5 baths (2 of which need a remodel).
- Between the end of 2017 (we bought it in September) and throughout 2018, we did a hell of a lot of work in a short amount of time. And although most weekends felt like a whirlwind of nonstop work, we had an absolute blast making this house into our home. Plus, we had the very best deadline keeping us focused — the due date of our first son, Ben.
- It hasn’t even been 2 years living here and already we’ve made the best memories — like bringing Ben home to his nursery, spending our first Christmas in this house, and announcing Baby #2 (a little brother for Ben due next month!). We are truly blessed.
- This post has all of the paint color sources for both of my homes.
Here’s a final look at our home, including my favorite projects, paint color details, and links to most of the source lists related to each room!
