A Round-Up of My Favorite Shower Curtains for a Kid’s Bathroom

We’re in the midst of our renovation of the kids’ bathroom and when I was planning out the design, I went back and forth on what I should do for a shower curtain for the space. In the end, I settled on this white shower curtain with a blue fringe for a little extra fun. But while searching, I found lots of adorable shower curtains for a kid’s bathroom and figured you might like to peruse them yourselves.

Long Shower Curtains

If you’ve been here a while, you may remember this blog post talking all about my love of XL shower curtains. When possible, I opt for XL shower curtains that go from the ceiling to the floor. This draws the eye up and you don’t have a shower curtain that is too short or hung too low.

The problem is, they’re super difficult to find. The size of a standard shower curtain is 72″ x 72″ and for most bathrooms, that is pretty short. I shared a list of my favorite long shower curtains in this blog post along with my favorite long shower liner.

Our First-Floor Bathroom, Shower Curtain

In our first-floor bathroom, I went with an extra long shower curtain in a cream color. It’s nice because it has a waffle pattern for some texture. I like that it doesn’t make a bold statement and instead, it allows the patterned floor tile and shower tile to shine.

The Kids’ Bathroom Before, Shower Curtain

Here’s a look at the shower curtain we had in the kids’ bathroom before. (It looks like they don’t sell the same color as we have anymore.) It was a really cute one and again, another XL. I liked it, but it’s a bit too warm for the look of the updated kids’ bathroom design.

Jan’s Guest Bathroom, Shower Curtain

My mom’s guest bathroom needed a new shower curtain after her recent renovation. She chose a waffle white shower curtain in an extra-long size. The one she has is no longer sold, but this one is very similar and I love the texture! She usually keeps the shower open and the curtain to the side to show off the gorgeous tiles in her space.

Finding “Fun” Shower Curtains

The problem with the long ones is that they’re not always the most stylish and most of them are pretty basic, coming in solid colors or standard patterns. For the kids’ bathroom, I wanted something special. That meant I had to forego my hope for an XL shower curtain, and find a pretty regular-length one that I really liked, which is exactly what I found with this one. I also opted for a gold curtain rod and gold curtain clips that will add some pizzazz to the space!

I had so much fun virtually shopping for shower curtains for a kid’s bathroom space. If your room is pretty plain, you could really jazz it up with some pretty hardware and a nice shower curtain. I can’t wait until our space is complete, so I can get our new shower curtain hung in there. I hope the kids love it as much as I do!
