Our New Dining Nook with Castlery
Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Castlery.
Our kitchen might not be 100% done yet, but we’ve had our new wood dining table and chairs out for the last week and it has been GLORIOUS! After eating all of our meals on the go over the past six weeks, it’s sooooo wonderful to have a dining table back in the kitchen. Even just putting a folding table up here would have felt good, but having our gorgeous new pieces in place is the best feeling in the whole world.
Our Dining Room Nook

I shared the gameplan for this space back in this blog post and here’s how it actually turned out! It’s not completely done (still waiting on a few pillows and the faux leather bench cushions), but the big pieces are in and we are obsessed. We even pull Rory’s little high chair up to the table so we can all eat meals together. It has been absolutely wonderful having this space back.
The Wood Dining Table
All of the furniture is from the e-commerce furniture retailer, Castlery. They have gorgeous pieces at competitive prices with a 14-day return policy. I’m so happy we chose this wood dining table. The walnut wood is stunning and it’s a perfect size – 71 inches – for this space. The curved edges are really kid-friendly too. I don’t have to worry about Rory poking herself with a pointy edge on the table. It’s the little things!
And hubba, hubba…look at those legs!! More curves with that gorgeous walnut color.
The walnut adds so much warmth to our kitchen. With our cream cabinets and quartz it was feeling a little cold. Then, we setup the table and I was like…YES! Just what this kitchen needed. It’s a gamechanger.
Lots of Seating
Of course, we have the benches that add tons of seating to this space. But we also opted for four of these chairs in the “Fumo Gray” color from Castlery. You can order free fabric swatches from Castlery, so you know the color will work well in the space. We only have three displayed, but we can add that fourth chair to the long side of the table when we have company!
The walnut legs match the table and I know they’ll look great when our faux leather bench cushions eventually arrive.
Finn insisted that the chairs be padded and cushy and these chairs definitely pass his “butt” test. He sat on the chair and immediately gave me the nod of approval. I’ll take it! I’m also happy we went with the dark color because spills will be inevitable with little Rory in the picture now.
Adding Lighting & Accessories
This space was just begging for a grand chandelier and I went with this one. It’s stunning and goes so well with the furniture.
At night, we turn on the chandelier and it emits the perfect warm glow. It’s incredibly dreamy!
On top of the table, I have some major fall vibes happening. I have this brass candle, this marble fruit stand, and my thrifted vase filled with leaves. I actually did a quick walk around my neighborhood and snipped these gorgeous branches for the dining table centerpiece. I’m sure my neighbors thought I was a tad strange walking around the block with large shears, but oh well…these are perfection!
The Dining Bench
I am so thrilled that we went for it with the dining bench. Not only do we have four huuuuuge drawers (three of which are still totally empty…yes!), but there is so much seating. The bench cushions should arrive in the next few weeks and I’ll be sure to share those updates. In the meantime, we’ve been getting cozy with lots of pillows.

When I reveal the kitchen at the end of the month (hopefully!!), I’ll be sure to include updated pictures of this dining nook space with the faux leather bench cushions.ย I think they will make it even better! But for now, wow…I’m just so in love with our new dining room. The huge table, the comfy chairs, the space for family and friends…it’s a dream come true!
